This is a 2005 custom Harley Davidson Shovel Head. Title is 2005 Harley Davidson with Arizona VIN. It does have salvage history , but as you can see every part has been replaced including the frame . I do not know the reason it was salvaged , as I purchased the bike with that history. I purchased this bike from a Harley Davidson employee . The bike was a complete running bike with 4000 miles on it before the transformation. I will start with the frame: It is a 2005 Santee Rigid with 38 degrees of rake and 2" up in the down tubes. The frame was relieved of any brackets that were not needed . The frame was narrowed in the seat area to give it a more linear appearance. It was smoothed and painted . All welds are Tig and exposed to keep the "mechanical" theme that this bike is all about. The forks are Softail Showas with 2" longer tubes. The trees and legs were blacked out. The bike features a 21" 40 spoke front wheel with new Avon venom white wall. The rear wheel is straight off of a Fat Boy and features a new 150mm 16" Avon wide white. The bike has 4 piston brakes front and rear also all new. The master cylinders are PM billets. All brake lines are stainless braided and in frame where possible. Forward controls are nice billets of unknown make. The engine is a Shovel........ what else would you put on an old school ....... It features STD cases with an S&S  93" sidewinder kit. It has S&S flywheels , rods, jugs , and pistons. An S&S .514 cam , valve springs , Super E carb and intake. The heads are HD o-ring style . They have received mild porting and polishing with Manley valves. The lifters and pushrods are Jims adjustableand oiling is handled by an S&S pump. The ignition is a Crane HI-4 with matching coil and wires. This bike screams and doesn't leak a drop. The engine was initially built at Cox Harley Davidson by "Shovelhead" Rob , and received a thorough teardown and reassembley with James gaskets when I received it. the bike starts with one kick .The transmission is a dead nuts solid ratchet top 4 speed with all new bearings and seals. It's an open belt drive with a 5 finger five plate clutch. The drum features the long roller bearings to replace the cage bearing to add stability. Don't get me wrong though ...... the clutch hub still makes that distinctive " handfull of nickels " rattle that only a high powered Shovel produces. Oh and the lever hangin out the side is the starter . Yeah it's a hardtail kick only Shovel. The exhaust is a custom 1 3/4 " design that crosses under the seat into a Supertrapp muffler. It's wrapped for the old school vibe. The seat is our own also featuring a lever suspension that not only flows with the frame, it just looks bad ass. It's covered in croc embossed vinyl for durability. Don't let the look fool ya . The rib in the seat was to mimmick a croc spine and you dont even feel it. I like to refer to it as a " positive placement device" . The suspension works excellent and is 100% adjustable . The rear fender started as a Fat bob , but has been widened and smoothed with the taillight pocket/ tag mount molded in . The sissy bar is custom. The front fender is Softail , that has been slammed shaved and shortened . The tanks started life as 5 gallon Fat Bobs. All the mounts were shaved and hidden . The caps were flush mounted and the right tank now houses the oil bag and battery box. All oil lines are polished copper and add extra capacity to keep the Amsoil runnin cool. The speedo is ( yeah it's got one! ) HD and is the tach speedo combo. Mileage on speedo in incorrect. This bike is a fresh build and has less that 200 miles on it's newest life. It is a great around town bike , but is geared for highway also. The color is Root Beer and BMW ( save the hate mail) CREME. Logos on tanks are hand painted by Nadine and wrap up the old school vibe perfectly. I know , I know .... old school is rust and rattle can paint........ Not in our shop it ain't. This bike was built 99.9% in our shop to display our ability to cater to our customers.
